The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, is working hard to appoint a substantive head coach for the Super Eagles.
Former president of NFF, Amaju Pinnick stated this while featuring on a Channels Television program.
“Any moment from now, I am sure they would be announcing a coach, an enterprising one at that,” the FIFA council member said.
The technical director of the football house and former International, Augustine Equavoen has managed the Super Eagles in interim capacity since September, 2024.
TREND REPORTERS learnt that despite Equavoen guided the team to 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualification, the NFF are not willing to allow him stay on as substantive head coach of the Super Eagles .
The Nigeria Football Federation, rather preferred to go on with their plans of appointing an expatriate to oversee the team.
