Suspected Bandits Abduct 25 Women on Their Way Wedding

No fewer than 25 women have been kidnapped by suspected bandits in Kurmi town, Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

BBC Hausa reports that the women were on their way to attend a wedding ceremony when they were intercepted and taken away by the attackers.

Elsewhere, 19 people were abducted in Galadi, a town in the Tsafe Local Government Area of the state.
According to the report, several others sustained injuries during the attack, which occurred at night.

Both incidents have resulted in fear and anxiety among residents in the affected communities.

In recent years, Zamfara State has been witnessing a series of violent attacks, with rural areas usually targeted by armed groups.
