The new Vice Chancellor of the University of Benin, UNIBEN, Professor Edoba Omoregie has been urged to bolster the ranking of the institution as a citadel of teaching, learning and research.
Former Inspector General of Police, IGP, Dr. Solomon Arase gave the advice at an event in Benin City, to honor the UNIBEN Vice Chancellor and the new Edo State Attorney General and commissioner for Justice, Dr. Samson Osage.
Dr Arase, who is the president, Benin Consultative Forum, emphasized that it is expected of professor Omoregie as an ALUMNI of UNIBEN to galvanize his skills and talent to rally Stakeholders towards the sustenance of an enviable institution.
The former IGP also called on Dr Samson Osage to bring to bear his wealth of experience in his new assignment in order to contribute meaningfully to the development and growth of Edo State and it’s people.
In their remarks, Dr. Osagie and professor Omoregie who are Vice President and Secretary of the Benin Consultative Forum respectively assured of their resolve to deliver on their new assignments.
They harped on the need for the Binis to come together and work together for a more progressive Edo nation.
