The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, has given suspended Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers State a condition for peace.
The former Rivers State governor stated that he is open to forgiveness if Fubara apologizes over the political crisis in the state.
Addressing a media parley in Abuja, Wike observed that if nothing is achieved in Rivers, as a result of the crisis, the people will go backward for it, and it does not make sense.
Wike and Fubara had been at loggerheads shortly after the latter became governor in 2023.
The crisis between them affected the state House of Assembly, leading to its factionalization.
As the political crisis in the state degenerated into insecurity challenges, President Bola Tinubu declared a state of emergency.
The president also suspended Fubara for six months and appointed a sole administrator.
