Edo State Governor Senator Monday Okpebholo has approved the reintroduction of monthly environmental sanitation across the state with effect from the 26th of April, 2025.
This is contained in a statement signed by the secretary to the state government, Mr. Musa Ikhilor, and made available to journalists in Benin City.
The statement disclosed that the exercise will be held on the last Saturday of every month between 7 am and 10:00 am.
It further said both human and vehicular movement would be strictly prohibited during the period of the exercise except for those on essential duties.
The statement added that the restriction is to enable residents of the state to take part in the cleaning exercise so as to ensure a cleaner and healthier Edo state.
