… Solicits Unity, Collaboration among Community Members
The Odionwere of Irokhin-Evbokhi has refuted an alleged sale of land leveled against him by a yet-to-be-identified person.
A social media report had accused the community of having the habit of selling people’s land for personal gain.
Reacting to the development, the Odionwere described the allegation as false, misleading, and unprovable.
In a terse statement made available to TREND REPORTERS, the Odionwere of Irokhin-Evbokhi observed that every development in the Irokhin-Evbokhi community, located in the Uhumwonde Local Government of Edo State, was a result of communal efforts, stressing that there has never been any case of forcible acquisition of land by him.
He called anyone who has any doubt about the activities of the council of elders of the Irokhin-Evbokhi community to come to the community for clarification.
“For the avoidance of doubt, the Odionwere of Irokhin-Evbokhi is not personally in charge of land sales. All activities in the community are in line with the dictates of the Bini Palace and the Edo State government,” the message read.
The Odionwere called on members of the community who are not residing in the area to come home and join hands with others to develop the community and ensure that it moves to greater heights.
