The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced a new strategy for the Hajj Induction Course (BITA).
The Director General of the Board, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, made the announcement at the official closing ceremony of the weekly training program in Gwarzo.
A press statement signed and made available to newsmen by the Public Relations officer of the Board, Sulaiman A. Dederi quoted Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa as saying that “the decision was made in consideration of the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan, to allow intending pilgrims stay at home and avoid unnecessary movement”.
The statement further observed that the board has partnered radio stations to air special programs featuring Hajj Induction Course teachers, noting that the initiative aims to educate intending pilgrims on Hajj procedures through radio and thereby ensuring they benefit from the training while observing Ramadan.
Alhaji Rabi’u Danbappa advised the pilgrims to use the sacred period to intensify prayers for the success of this year’s Hajj operation and to pray for the Kano State Government under the leadership of Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusif, who has been providing the necessary support for the pilgrimage.
The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board chairman also called on the pilgrims to adhere strictly to all rules and regulations set by the Saudi Arabian authorities, especially the NUSUK card, which contains all essential information about the pilgrims.
Speaking on behalf of the Hajj Induction Course teachers at the Gwarzo center, a participant, Malam Bala Kayyu commended the board for its continued support and contributions to pilgrims in Kano state.
