Former Super Eagles head coach, Gernot Rohr has tipped Ademola Lookman to win the 2024 CAF Men’s Player of the Year award.
Contenders for the prestigious award include Achraf Hakimi, Rowen Williams, Serhou Guirassy and Simon Adingra.
Rohr believes Lookman has done enough to be crowned Africa’s best player.
Speaking with journalists, the Super Eagles head coach observed that Lookman has made a lot of progress.
According to him, Lookman first seasons in England and Germany are now a thing of the past, as he has managed to get back up and shine.
“I followed him a few years ago with the Super Eagles. He went from the shadows to the light. Today, he is a complete player, as effective as an assister as he is as a scorer,” the former Super Eagles head coach stated.
The 2024 CAF Awards ceremony is billed to hold in Marrakech, Morocco next week Monday.
